U3a is a voluntary organisation run by its members which includes tutors, office bearers and other committee members. Membership of U3A helps to keep the mind active, the body working and attitudes to ageing, positive. Income from membership is used for the benefit of members.
Courses and Classes and Activities
U3A Hepburn Shire offers a wide variety of classes – some on-going, others one-off. At any time, you might find scrabble, bridge and mah-jong, poetry and books, craft, history, dancing, yoga and tai- chi, health, art history, science, food, movies and outings on offer. Regular lunches and morning teas are also popular each term.
Classes and activities are run by volunteers, many of whom are members. Any member can offer a class or activity or join a class.
U3A activities are low cost. Members pay an annual membership fee and there are no fees for attending sessions. Occasionally there may be extra costs or a gold coin donation to cover venue costs.
Classes and activities are held at local venues, including the Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre, halls and private homes. Most classes are held during the day.
Our course and class timetable includes both on-going and sessional classes and is updated regularly. In it you will find the class synopsis, dates and tutor contact information.
